I have the BCP and Savor One. I use the BCP more. Another thing to consider is Amex will more likely be open to raising your credit line while Capital One is extremely stingy.

Dont forget you can use points to pay for that fee! So you're essentially not paying anything at all for that card. I just did this. Its 6.2k after your first year not sure how this equals out but i hate paying fees so.

Amex BBP should be higher. If spending on categories that otherwise only get 1x on other cards, that's an extra 50,000 MR points which could be worth $1,000-$2,500 depending on redemption. That ranks it among my top 5 cards (I don't use Cap1 ecosystem).

Is it still bad of there now doimg 7.74 fixed apr with a 3430 origination fee for 70000? Even paying 2.5% on balace transfers os cheeper in the long run. Just asking so i dont make a mistake. Also what companies do you recomend in its place.

you dont have to spend a lot to earn the other 2,500 MQDs for the Delta Silver status, but rather you can have both personal and business version of the Delta Reserve and the MQD headstart will be stacked to give you the status automatically. Same thing applies to Delta Gold status, but depends on whether or not you are willing to pay $2k AF for that.

I also have gotten approved a month ago. (Chase Sapphire Preferred) Tho at that time it was 60k points instead of the 75k points. I called to see if i can get the 75k Honored. I was told yes on the phone, but i won't know till July when the 3 months Window closes. Also i applied at 10 am and by 1 pm (Same Day) i was approved.

May 2024...Just called them and it was like pulling teeth to get anywhere...Finally got the info that they search using Hopper (that's on the site) BUT book with airlines. All the info about having problems, etc. it is suggested to deal with the airlines. They will send a notice that there is an issue, but then for the most part you really have to deal with the airlines. Not so sure I want a middleman. I only have a Quicksilver, so I'm not that invested in CapOne in terms of rewards or loungers (they only have 3 which don't work anyway with my intinerary.) I did a search on their portal and didn't come up with much all compared to what I found at Google Flights. I'm calling a couple of the airlines I'm looking at to see what they about being tied into CapOne. My gut is I'm just going to book directly as is often advised. Also, these days, the travel agents at least around here where I live don't seem tuned into independent travelers...they like booking tours and getting those commissions. They now charge anywhere from $50-$100 to book or consult; AAA is about $40 at least when I inquired months ago. I may stop by that office because the two others I called here seemed uninterested OR not that well-versed in what I'm trying to do internationally---which is get out of ELP and avoid crappy Boeings (the newer stuff at least.) And the VERY old planes on some of United's routes!!

For my setup I have a Capital One duo (regular Venture + got approved for the SavorOne last week) and I'm working toward a Chase Trifecta (I have the Freedom Unlimited, and just got approved for the Sapphire Preferred last week too, now I just need the Freedom Flex). For gas and groceries I have the AmEx BCE, and for my catch all I have the Citi Double Cash. The only thing left that I want after I get the Flex is the BILT card.
